Meeks Bay Beach

 

On the west shore of Lake Tahoe, Meeks Bay Beach is a free public beach that can be found about two miles south of Tahoma along Highway 89. The beach is open to the public from Memorial Day weekend through mid-October and requires an entry fee for gated access.

Visitors can enjoy picnic tables, public restrooms, and parking facilities, as well as accessibility features, nearby campsites, and fishing opportunities. The Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California manages Meeks Bay Beach, which is located on National Forest land and has picturesque views of the Kehlet Mansion, Washoe House, and Heavenly Mountain Resort.
