Join us for North Lake Tahoe Snowfest, a grand winter celebration showcasing the best of Tahoe City & Kings Beach. This ten-day festival is packed with over forty events, embracing the vibrant North Lake Tahoe community and its visitors. Snowfest is all about supporting local nonprofits, public programs, and student organizations through an array of engaging activities.

Event Details:

  • Garwoods Kick-off & King and Queen Coronation (February 29th, 5 PM – 10 PM): A festive party at Garwoods with live music, food, and the crowning of Snowfest royalty.

  • Snowfest Fireworks & Live Music (March 1st, 5 PM – 8 PM): An electrifying evening with fireworks and live rock music at Tahoe City Golf Course.

  • North Tahoe Firefighters Assoc. Pancake Breakfast (March 2nd, 7 AM – 11 AM): Start your day with delicious pancakes and meet local firefighters at the Tahoe City Fire Station.

  • Tahoe City Snowfest Parade (March 2nd, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM): A vibrant parade through downtown Tahoe City featuring local businesses and community groups.

  • Garwood's 35th Annual Polar Bear Swim (March 2nd, 12 PM – 4 PM): Brave souls take a chilly dip in Lake Tahoe, followed by warm festivities at Garwood’s.

  • Pete ‘n Peters Post Parade Party (March 2nd, 12 PM – 4 PM): A warm and welcoming post-parade gathering at Pete ‘n Peters.

  • Tahoe Art Haus & Tahoe Tap Haus Brewfest (March 2nd, 12:30 PM – 7 PM): Celebrate local brews with tastings and music at Tahoe Tap Haus.

  • The Great Ski Race (March 3rd): A thrilling cross-country ski race and the main fundraiser for the Tahoe Nordic Search & Rescue Team.

  • Tahoe City Dog Pull (March 3rd, 11 AM – 12 PM): Witness adorable dogs in a fun and friendly pull race at Pete & Peter’s.

  • Sunnyside Luau (March 3rd, 3 PM – 8:30 PM): A Hawaiian-themed party with delicious food and lake views at Sunnyside Restaurant.

  • Za’s 9th Annual Clam Bake (March 4th, 5 PM – 8 PM): Indulge in a traditional clambake and stunning lake views at Za’s Lakefront.

  • Tahoe Wine Collective - Wine & Art (March 5th, 5 PM – 7 PM): An evening of art and wine benefiting Tahoe Lake Elementary PTO at Tahoe Wine Collective.

  • Rosie’s Black Out Bingo (March 5th, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM): Fun-filled bingo night with prizes at Rosie’s Cafe.

  • Pete ‘n Peters Bar Olympics (March 5th, 7 PM – 11 PM): Competitive bar games and a chance for glory at Pete ‘n Peters.

  • White Cap Pizza - Oyster Night (March 6th, 4 PM – 8 PM): Enjoy fresh oysters and special beer and wine at White Cap Pizza.

  • West Shore Market Cornhole Tournament (March 6th, 4 PM – 10 PM): A fun and competitive cornhole tournament at West Shore Market.

  • Milk Jug Curling Qualifying (March 6th, 7 PM – 11 PM): Unique curling event with milk jugs on ice at Tahoe City Winter Sports Park.

  • Tahoe Tap Haus 1st Annual Hot Wing Eating Contest (March 7th, 4 PM – 6 PM): Spicy challenge for wing lovers at Fat Cat – Tahoe City.

  • Snowfest Prom Night (March 7th, 6:30 PM – 10 PM): A nostalgic prom-themed night with skating and dancing at Tahoe City Winter Sports Park.

  • Wine N Ice Sculpture Competition (March 8th, 12 PM – 3 PM): Artistic ice sculptures and wine at Gatekeeper’s Museum.

  • Milk Jug Curling Finals (March 8th, 7 PM – 11 PM): The exciting finale of the milk jug curling competition at Tahoe City Winter Sports Park.

  • Jake’s on the Lake - Snowfest So Fresh (March 8th, 5 PM – 10 PM): Live music and sushi night at Jake's on the Lake.

  • Alaskan Open Snow Golf Tournament (March 9th, 9 AM – 3 PM): A unique golfing experience on snow at Tahoe City Golf Course.
