Arriving from Reno on NV-431: turn onto NV-28 (Lakeshore Boulevard) east and watch for Mt Watson Court on the uphill side of the road. In winter the lower village elevation produces icy conditions earlier in the evening than the upper streets. Four-wheel drive is recommended for November through March. The 10-minute lake walk means some guests skip the car entirely for morning visits before summer beach parking becomes competitive.
