★★★★★
“Beautiful house with amazing views of the Lake. You cannot beat seeing the sunrise from the deck. The home is on a private street. There was construction going on across the street when we were there and MG was receptive to our comments, even though it was out of his control. I do recommend this host. Amazingly responsive and accommodating.”

Staying in Crystal Bay

Crystal Bay is the small Nevada community at the top of the lake, where NV-28 crosses the state line between Kings Beach and Incline Village. Homes climb the hillside above the highway, and from the higher streets you look out across the north end of the lake. The Crystal Bay casinos sit right at the state line, Kings Beach's public beach and restaurants are a couple of minutes west, and Incline Village is a few minutes east.

Beaches and trails

Crystal Bay is part of the same improvement district as Incline Village, so the IVGID beaches are for pass holders, not renters. The public choices are Kings Beach State Recreation Area, little Speedboat Beach just over the line in California, and Sand Harbor down the East Shore. For a view without the crowds, the short Stateline Fire Lookout trail starts from the neighborhood.

Winter

Washoe County's winter parking rules cover Crystal Bay as well as Incline: from October 1, street parking is allowed only on green days. Several hillside streets are steep, so check whether your home's page asks for 4WD, and carry chains for the Mt. Rose Highway or Brockway Summit.
