“My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Mg’s home. It was very nice and quiet but also in close proximity to grocery stores in case we needed anything. Will stay in the future!”

“First trip to Tahoe area for my daughters 8th bday with family. Originally a group of ten went down to 8 however I would still definitely get this place again! We loved all the rooms, the kitchen was fully stocked with useful items although I brought my own pot and seasonings just in case. The parking garage was spacious and super convenient to avoid the cold/snow when unloading and loading. The patio gorgeous honestly spent our whole trip there! We are definitely planning our next trip here! Thank you!”

Staying in Tahoe Vista
Tahoe Vista is the quiet stretch of CA-28 between Kings Beach and Carnelian Bay. Most homes sit on wooded streets on the hill above the highway, with a handful of lakeside lodges and restaurants along the shore. There's no real town center, so for groceries and errands you'll drive a few minutes east to Kings Beach.
Lake access and parks
The Tahoe Vista Recreation Area has a small public beach and a boat launch, and Moon Dunes and North Tahoe Beach are along CA-28 nearby. For a full beach day, Kings Beach State Recreation Area is just east. North Tahoe Regional Park, up the hill, has trails, ball fields and a disc golf course.
Winter
CA-267 to Truckee starts in Kings Beach, a few minutes east, and crosses Brockway Summit, where chain controls are common in storms. CA-28 west toward Tahoe City can also be chained after a storm. Carry chains, and check your home's page for driveway notes.
